Harrow Delight is an excellent, early ripening backyard pear. The fruit is medium size with an attractive red blush over a yellow background. The flesh is very smooth and less gritty than most pears. It is highly fire-blight resistant!! Ripens near or ahead of Clapp's in early August.

Harrow Delight was selected in 1982 at the Agriculture Canada Research Station in Harrow, Ontario, where many good peaches were also bred and introduced.
