Malus domestica 'Redfree' Homeowner Growing and Maintenance TipsRedfree is immune to apple scab and cedar apple rust, and has good resistance to fire blight and mildew. It is one of the few apples that seems to have a natural resistance to European red mites. The tree is a little "rangy" and will have more "blind wood" that does'nt show fruiting spurs than other varieties, so don't over trim it--- let it fruit.
